Wow, what a fantastic butcher. They have various cuts of meat at good prices, fresh and frozen. Local staples and a lunch counter where we got a couple links of boudin. The pork boudin has a stronger pork flavor and spice than your more rustic traditional places

Coming from a small town, I haven't had this type of service and exceptional meat! And you can't beat the prices!! I've bragged about this place for weeks! Will keep coming back! Hopefully next time closer to lunch so I can grab one of the plate lunches!

Your good old fashioned neighborhood butcher shop. It's sparkling clean and the personnel were super nice. Got a great deal on fresh cut t-bone steaks and grabbed a can of their house seasoning. Good stuff!

We finally made it to Kirks and boy was it worth it! Service was exceptional. Mr. Blake came out to meet us and made sure we were taken care of! Tonight, we cooked the pork roast we got in our pack.... WOW!! Best roast I've had in a long time! We will definitely be back Mr. Blake! Looking forward to trying the turkey roll and t-bone roast!

I think the food is terrific! But what makes this place so desirable is the owner! Blake Gallet is a friend to everyone he meets first! He's very personable, compassionate and one of the best people I know! He's very focused on making his friends and his customers happy! Very hard to find a true friendship through. An owner of a business, it's more than that to him!

I went today just to get their T-Bones that are on special...well I spent $100. I had to get the chicken leg quarters & rice cos they were on sale as well. And hell while I am there throw in some fresh green sausage and a cpl packs of stuffed turkey wings. Everything is fresh and cut to your liking. I loved it. The employees are friendly and will get you anything you want. Oh, and the plate lunch was awesome. Just like I would have cooked it. I highly recommend this little gem and will definitely go back!!

The best plate lunches in Acadiana !!!!!!! And I have ate plate lunches from Alexandria to Holly Beach and to the Baton Rouge Bridge. This is the best. Have to mention they're fresh marinated Meats, like, seasoned short ribs, Seasons stuffed turkey wings, tripe , all the stuff for cowboy stew, fresh!!!!!

I used to go all the time in 2014 and everyone was very nice. Meat is high quality. I like the ease of being able to ask questions and get the help i need. Stopped going because to take the meat home to separate and wrap/bag while being a single mom was hard on me. My baby cried 15 hours a day.. But plan on going back next week because i miss y'all and my baby is a child now..

I'm there every week, sometimes 2-3 times a week, plate lunches are great,. I buy all my meat there. I find the meat packets are reasonable prices for what you get in them. Service and staff are always smiles and very friendly.
